Finance Assistant

Curaçao

As a Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of our organization. You will be responsible for processing financial transactions, preparing reports, and monitoring financial positions. This role also offers significant opportunities for professional growth, including leadership development, as you contribute to optimizing our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Financial Operations:

    • Record and reconcile bank statements.

    • Process purchase invoices and related RC (reconciliation) bookings.

    • Create and send sales invoices based on provided data.

    • Account for mortgage and loan transactions.

    • Prepare periodic bookings for prepayments and recurring financial entries.

    • Import and process payroll journal entries.

    • Reconcile tax payments with payroll records.

    • Manage collections and detailed oversight of collectively paid invoices.

  • Weekly Controls:

    • Analyze intercompany (RC) positions.

    • Compare bank positions with the general ledger.

    • Review outstanding receivables and payables.

    • Supervise suspense accounts.

  • Monthly Reports and Controls:

    • Generate and review financial statements per administration.

    • Monitor progress and resolve any financial backlogs.

    • Prepare overviews of RC positions and report to the board.

  • Knowledge and Documentation:

    • Acquire in-depth knowledge of SAP BusinessOne.

    • Document financial procedures and tasks in ClickUp to ensure quality and provide training for future team members.

  • Development and Leadership:

    • Contribute to the ongoing development and optimization of financial processes.

    • Potential to grow into a leadership role, overseeing a team and preparing annual financial statements and tax filings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Experience with accounting software, preferably SAP BusinessOne.

  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative team spirit.

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.

  • Willingness to learn and grow professionally.
